In accordance with Alameda County Public Health Department guidelines, deeming swim lessons “essential,” the City of Dublin will offer swim lessons in the Natatorium at The Wave beginning on Monday, February 8.

Swim lessons will be offered for youth from infants to age 14 in a temperature-controlled, 84- degree pool. For the safety of both staff and participants, swim instructors will be wearing face shields in the water and there will be a 15-minute gap between sessions to allow for sanitization of all high touch areas and any equipment used. The Wave Natatorium has a UV light filtration system that recycles the air within minutes and kills 99.9% of all bacteria. The lobby will remain closed, and swimmers will be required to enter and exit the facility as indicated upon arrival, along with receiving a brief temperature check. For additional safety, parents will be asked to view lessons from the outside of the facility, utilizing the large glass windows along the southside pathway. Infant classes will permit one adult to enter the facility.

The Wave looks forward to welcoming children back to the Natatorium to help them foster a lifelong love of swimming and to teach them a lifesaving skill in the safest way possible.
